In this post I’m going to give you a creative way of getting signed to a major label, you will not have to send out hundreds of CDs or sell your soul for the sake of a few thousand dollars, this simple PR trick will have the labels coming to you. This will put you in a much better position to negotiate a contract.

1. The first step is to set up google alerts and keep track of all the popular blogs that run stories on your type of music.
2. Next you want to engage with the blog owner and leave comments.
3. When you have some good music ready send them a copy and ask for a review or interview.
4. Because they know you, changes are you will get some coverage.

When the label see cool blogs talking about your stuff they will see that you are building a strong presence and come knocking on your door.
