Information on music careers can be a little scarce because whenever you go to the careers advisor and say you want to work in the music business they come back and say that working in a shop would be the best way forward

Well screw them anyway! Music is a great way to make your money but I see so many kids joining these music courses and it’s the wrong way to do it.
If you want a career in music you need to get your hands dirty and play in smelly bars for ten years or be a tea boy at a major record label.
You can’t learn the skills you need for the music biz on a course, you learn this stuff after years of experience so the sooner you get out there the soon you can start learning.
