When it comes to free music promotion sites I tend to stick to the big guns like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and YouTube. In this post I would like to go through my reasons for this and suggest you do the same:
- The main reason is that the traffic on the major sites can sometimes be 100% larger than on these smaller sites so your market of potential fans is much greater.
- The second reason is connected to the first; a wise man once said that the best way to sell burgers is to find the “Starving crowd” and the crowd is on the big sites.
You may disagree with me on this but I have been able to have much more success with the bigger sites than 300 smaller ones.
