Music promotion is simple once your know one key point that so many people seem to miss. What I’m talking about is that so many musicians and bands think they need to be constantly bringing new fans to their site every day and spend hours trying to search out anyone who might me slightly interested in their music.

But the thing is that I’m here to tell you that it’s total madness….

All you need to do for great music promotion is find one perfect fan.

Write a 500 word essay about who would be the perfect person to listen to your music and be very detailed. You will then be able to clearly see how to contact those type of people and you won’t spend hours trying to convert people to followers who have no interest.

So your goal over the next year should be to find 1000 true hardcore fans then put them on your mailing list and start offering them your albums over time.

If these 1000 people are truly a perfect match for you, all your music promotion worries are over because they will pay you a great wage for the rest of your life because they will buy everything you every put out.

You have to think about this stuff smartly rather than getting all caught up in building your twitter list just for the sake of it…
