Your music sales page is a very important cog in the music marketing wheel because it is the place you send enthusiastic fans who show an interest in buying your stuff.

The page itself does not have to be over-complicated, or have a load of “buy now” hype because by the time your fans see it they should already have their Paypal details ready since the free stuff you’ve given them has been so cool.
It’s essential to be constantly tweaking and testing your important pages to make sure you are receiving the best possible income from your music..
Below are 5 simple things you need to think about, and then a little tutorial video to walk you through setting it up…
1. Your Headline
All important pages on the Internet need a headline to capture the attention and lead people into your offer.
Make it common practice to split test your headline every week and notice what shifts the most music.
Watch my tutorial on split testing here.
2. Keep It Super Simple
The whole idea with your music sales page is to remove anything that might distract your fans from buying your music. Over the years and after thousand of tests I have notice that it’s best to keep things as simple as possible for yourself and your fans.
If you’re not a web design expert I would just use a headline, YouTube video and a buy now button.
You can set this up really simply in Seamonkey.
3. One Action Please
Don’t offer all your albums, t-shirts, gig tickets and everything else you have on one page. The more options you give people the more likely they are to get confused and leave.
Just make your very best offer and then you can promote other merch once you have turned the casual fans into loyal customers.

4. Graphic Design Piggybacking
If you do want to get a little bit more interesting with your design look for the top musicians in your music scene and model their pages.
This does NOT mean you should copy because that will get you in got water with copyright law, but just take their design as inspiration.
The reason that modelling is so cool is because successful bands pay professional graphic designers a lot of money to create appealing images, and you can piggyback on those ideas to give your own page a professional look at zero cost.
5. Stay Above The Fold
The fold on a webpage is the part of the screen that your fans have to scroll down to view.
Some studies suggest that up to 80% of people never bother to look below the fold so make sure that you don’t put your “buy now” button there. Makes sense right?
Keep this in mind…
Any additional steps your fans need to take before they can buy your music will decrease the amount of albums you sell over the course of a year.
Now Let’s set up your sales page in five minutes…
