{STEAL THIS} Magic Tricks To Sell Music Downloads On Your Website

Hey Guys, your friendly neighborhood music marketing obsessive here…

First of all today I want to pay tribute to the greatness of Steve Jobs. He was a brilliant man and a true visionary who will be sorely missed. Thank you Steve!

Now to cheer you up a little bit I have some super sneaky music marketing sheeat to give you.

See the thing is, I’ve been in deep marketing learning mode over the past couple of weeks and now it’s time to implement some of the shenanigans that I’ve been working out.

I have a rule in my office that if you spend time learning something, then you have to spend at least the same amount of time putting it into action, otherwise it’s a total waste of time. This is what I suggest for you lot as well.

The tactics that I’m about to show you are things that I’ve observed top marketers starting to use to increase sales of their products, so I decided to give them a shot on a service that I’ve just opened up to readers of this blog.

The promo I’m setting up is for my 1 on 1 coaching program “Rockett Fuel” and when all the planning was done it was time to add a page to the site to let people know what I have to offer.

Kind of like we do with our music offerings.

So as I was putting the new page together I suddenly thought that it would be a good idea to jump on the video and show you lot what I’m doing and why, so that you can test the same stuff on your music sales pages…YOU DO HAVE A MUSIC SALES PAGE RIGHT?

Good…

Some of this stuff might be a little hardcore for you, and it’s cool if you don’t feel totally comfortable with taking advantage of every sneaky little hack I’m going to show you…

…or you might be like “SCREW IT, my music is great and if I can just work out how to shift it then I will be doing my fans a favor”.

I’m in the second camp by the way…of course the initial step is always making great work, but then you can market the hell out of it because you really do believe in what you’re doing. Most dirty spammy marketing starts with people trying to push a crappy product.

Whatever your position, it would be cool to thrash it out in the comment box at the bottom of this page.

I’ve just been through the 27 minute video again and made a list of some of the stuff your going to learn.

Here’s what I got…

  • How to add massive value to your music products so they effectively sell themselves.
  • Why keeping your sales pages simple gets you up and running and selling music fast, but can also increase your sucess rate.
  • Discover the exact process (and a bunch of free tools) you can use to put all these methods into action for ZERO COST in a few hours.
  • Why you should use images of your current fans having a great time to show potential supporters what they’re missing out on.
  • Mind tricks: How to hit your fans on multiple senses to show your offer in the very best possible light.
  • Ruling the interwebs with the “Magic Add to Cart button” and where you should place your button for maximum impact.
  • Learn how to set up a “Magic YouTube video” that keeps you in control of the sales process and builds massive value in your products. Oh…and people will watch the whole thing as well.
  • Why it’s LIFE OR DEATH to thoroughly test your pages before you put them online, and how to use the best shopping cart in the world to do it all for nothing.
  • How giving people pricing options can increase your income as a musician.
  • How to get more people to see your promo page and the secret FREE software, that will allow you to read the minds of your fans and see what appeals to them the most.
  • Learn the weird trick clever marketers use to capture the fan email address even if they decide not to take you up on your offer.
Phew! I bet you didn’t read that whole list.  No problem, got your notebook? Skip to the video below.

The first step whenever I’m working on a new element to my website, is to sit down with an old school pen and paper and work out everything I need to do. Then put it in a logical order.

This helps me stay focused and complete the project in the fastest possible time.

(By the way, the next step is to actually start…THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP OF ALL ;-) )

So to get you moving with this quickly I’ve scanned in the notes I used for this project. You can follow them as a check list if you want to have a go at setting this up for yourself.

Here are my notes…

My goal with this post has been to show you that throwing up webpages and making some income from your music is not hard at all once you have people coming to your website. I really want you to download SeaMonkey and start experimenting…that’s all I did.

Email me here if you get stuck on anything.

Good luck,

- Chris

I watched your video and I loved all of your ideas!

but I wanted to ask a question, what’s the best way to sell music on your website. like just mp3s? I’ve looked into a few options and you have a pay for all these services and things and it seems to cost too much.

my website is musicarmichael.com and I’ve just launched it

I saw that you used the paypal option could this work?

at the moment I have a cdbaby widget but I don’t like that too much becuase it takes people away from my site. you can see that here http://musicarmichael.com/contact-me/sample-page

    any ideas?
